Meliora Productions exists to tell the stories that others overlook through film. We seek out the voices and experiences that have been pushed to the margins—whether from underrepresented communities, forgotten histories, or the quiet corners of human experience that reveal unexpected truths. We strive to amplify stories that resonate with our audiences.
Our films don't just entertain; they shine a light on perspectives that deserve to be heard. We work with diverse storytellers to create authentic, compelling cinema that challenges audiences to look deeper and understand more. Who is behind the vision? Meet the team
Founder
Jose Palma
Costa Rican actor and producer of Chorotegan origin, born in San José. Jose has worked alongside Hollywood A-listers including Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson in Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), and Taika Waititi and Lisa Kudrow in Time Bandits (2024). His notable projects include Netflix's The Liberator (2020), The Batman (2022), Crawl(2019), 3 Body Problem (2024) and voice work in Horizon Forbidden West and Hitman Series (II & III).
As founder of Meliora Productions LTD, Jose recognised the industry's need for authentic Latin American stories in mainstream entertainment. Through his production company, he's committed to uncovering and developing hidden stories from across Latin America—untold narratives the industry doesn't yet realise it needs, but audiences are hungry for.
